  At Creative Commons Australia there are 6 Australian copyright licences for you to choose from if you desire to have your work copyrighted. You have to be careful as Holden pointed out, because people can easily rip off your work if you choose the copyright that allows them to.

  For the work I am doing I think the best choice for me would be Attribution-Non Commercial-Share Alike

So I would choose this because it allows people to see and possibly use my work, but for non commercial reasons. I want people to see what I can do and I want them to possibly use my work..or something inspired from it. They can’t have it if they intend to sell it..unless i get %100 of the earnings…mwahaahaha

  At this stage I am not going to put copyright on any of my work, I will have to rethink that later.

I have a weather update for you folks… The sun is shining and the breeze is warm… perfect conditions for stop motion at the beach after school. C u thr.

The weather just doesn’t seem to get any better. I am going to have to make sure this doesn’t stop my progress with my major work, so my compromise will involve me setting up a studio in my part of the house at home. Which has terrible light (i have no lamps at home, so I’ll have to get some) and gets used by me and my parents, it will be in their way too. I will be relying on some kiwi ingenuity to pull this off. 

Worst case scenario, i have a stop motion animation composed at highest quality possible from my bedroom.

I hope to at lest finish making my stop motion with Felix.

Best case scenario, i have two great stop motion animations to hand in on the 24th aug.

bad weather banished into abyss

Now, finally, the destructive weather in May 09 seems to have past.

Filming of my major work can now proceed as normal, however Wave is still on and Felix my lead role is tied up into it. The 1 1/2 weeks of no progress will likely turn into 2 weeks or more.

In the time I have spare I have been looking through entourage (now up to season 3) and getting ideas and inspiration from youtube and vimeo. I have been looking through the groups on vimeo, mainly at stop motion but there is so much great stuff on that site it is easy to find 1/2 hour lost admiring peoples videos. vimeo stop motion take a look. read a book.

Rain

Rain. It has been the boss over my Major work project lately and Im not stoked about that. Been having some insights about the future and what it holds, I really wish I knew where I am heading, been reading Richard Branson’s book (loosing my virginity), which is fantastic. If you feel you are in need of motivation to get ahead then that book will prove to be an excellent tool for you.

Band of the week has been Stone Temple Pilots, Core. And Artist is Mike Oldfield, Tubular Bells.-The First artist to sign up with Virgin. Its good shit.

One thing is for sure in my world. I DON’T want to be in the cabinet making industry.

Major Work progress…

 I was just looking up sites and having a read about improving the quality of your stop motion. If you also want to pick up a few tips then… check this out site1 site2 and i found a software that has had some good reviews that i might download called istopmotion .

Multimedia in class thoughts on religion

  I most likely sound like i am talking out of my arse when i speak about life and what my beliefs are. I don’t want you to think i don’t notice this part me. Whats going on in my head is me trying to see things as they really are, they are not always right and i do not always see them. I try my best to use logic and present my thoughts in a non-monotonous  way. So, I try not to sound like a prat because i sometimes do but im doing my best.

  In multimedia me and Felix walked out quietly towards the end of the lesson to share some lunch we didn’t in our lunchtime, totally benign of what conversation we would strike up. Religulous the movie is still very much in our heads and I came up with a thought about human behavior. Its likely to be crap but I don’t know. 

  Here goes… Humans consciously choose to believe in religion unless you were born into religion in that case you would take the things you hear as true because you have no reason to think you are being lied to. BUT for those who make the conscious decision (this is my theory I came up with) make the decision because they think they are being open minded. When someone instantly shuts down an idea for what ever reason, say because its plainly ridiculous to them, that can be considered a negative trait. So when people are down and feeling weak emotionally, they hear what the priests preach or are familiar with the words of ‘god’. These things they hear do now not seem so silly. There are so man people who believe , its not like you would be alone if you choose to follow a religion. You would be one little fish in a big pond. How could so many people believe in something that actually is fake? So you take on the beliefs thinking you are being open minded. You are not one of those people who just shut down thoughts and progress. And you are special, you have found god and there are millions of people behind you in your quest for finding god. 

  You were deluded and you were weak to let down your guard to such beliefs. Nonsense really. You thought you were being open minded but all you did was neglect your better judgement. bravo.

Alternatives to youtube

 If you are like me in anyway and get bored and annoyed by the airheads on youtube with their pissy remarks on almost every video, then you want some alternatives and preferably good ones. Here are a few that i have come across; Vimeo , Fliggo and Ning. You need to sign up to use Ning first and I suggest you do it because there are a lot groups and shit you can join and be a part of or start one yourself. Fliggo is very new to the scene and there is a video there to help you get started.

 So take a look, maybe not only to disconnect yourself from the vigorously mundane people on youtube but also because these are fairly new sites and it is good to stay up-to-date in these modern times.
